So this isn’t as much of a Style Tip as it is an “I’M BACK” tip.  If you’ve been wondering where I’ve been, which I’m sure you haven’t, I had a pretty bad biking incident during the “Tour De Nash” a couple of weeks ago that messed up my leg pretty bad.  I’m just getting back on my feet so I definitely been in the mood to do any posing, let alone put pants on.  LoL  So I didn’t, but this is just a quick heads up from me to you.  Thank you for continuing to grow with me 🙂  “LIVE ABOVE IT!”

Being an adult SUCKS!  It mainly means postponing the things that you really want to do in order to have the means to do them, but I digress!  LoL Because of budget necessities I had to postpone my purchase of these amazing jeans, but nevertheless I have them now and they were well worth the wait!  It’s a rainy day today, here in Nashville and cloudy.  The perfect Blue Collar feel for their debut.  The jeans to which I am rambling about, are my NEW

Okay, so that was a bit dramatic, but I love a sleek pair of Moto jeans and you have to understand that I’ve been looking for a pair of denim Moto jeans forever!  These fit EXTREMELY well, feel great against the skin, and to top it all off: although they are Skinny Jeans, they are designed so that there is room around the knees for flexiblity unlike most Moto Skinny Jeans.  I mean these bad boys feel like a pair of Joggers!  I LIKE IT!  I paired these industrial jeans with my Lunargrand Weatherproof Boots, my favorite Vintage Button-Up, a light Cardigan for warmth, and my rain jacket to ward off the rain drops.  You’ll be seeing a lot more of these hardworking trousers.  Let’s work!  “LIVE ABOVE IT!

BOOTS: Cole Haan Lunargrands $300 l PANTS: Express Alec Quilted Super Skinny Moto Jeans $120 l BUTTON-UP: Vintage l CARDIGAN: Target by Merona $25 l JACKET: Target by Merona $30

JPSKILLZ Style Tip of the Day!

Happy Monday fellas! It’s not the driest Monday, but that doesn’t mean you can’t stay dry & be clean! I stumbled upon a great purchase this weekend at The GAP! You remember my En Noir Moto Jeans, which I’m wearing ($80), along with my Lunargrand Boots ($278), well I found the sweater which was a part of that collection! And it was on sale! I got a $70 sweater for $16 BUCKS!!! The sleeves are made with a shiny finish, but not shiny like leather, but a very subtle shimmer. The light has to catch it at the right angle which is a Brilliant design by the Artist. I always keep it simple on rainy days, I just feel that lighter is better with all the heavy rain. Oh and pay attention to how I didn’t clean my boots. Small details play to the day and add character to your look. A man’s look is all about Character. What story are you telling with yours? “LIVE ABOVE IT!”

#JPSKILLZStyleTip: Layering Lesson #5

Feelin’ SEALLY’ today because of the rain.  So I’m going to dress accordingly.  I have named this Fit “SEAL!”  As in Navy Seal!  I love it because it looks like I just got home from a long voyage!  Now, what did Seals/Navy men make famous as far as fashion goes?  That’s right!  The Pea Coat!  Well I’ve come up with a look that isn’t quite as warm, but definitely pulls off the same look.

H20 & Seals are synonymous…no pun intended.  So I definitely have to ground this Fit with my Black, WATERPROOF Cole Haan Lunargrand Boots! $278

Of course my GAP Moto Jeans by En Noir made the cut.  They have that industrial, blue collar feel to them that’s necessary for a Seal!  I think I’m going to give my Black BR Jeans away?  Hmmmm… $80

Now, for an old favorite that I RARELY get to wear!  It’s a Calvin Klein Body Shirt, but because of the Navy…once again, no pun intended LoL, it makes it surprisingly hard to match, but I love the shirt.  I suppose that’s why I bought it?  LoL $30

Moving on, this is the key to this look.  “THIS” being my Denim GAP Jacket.  When the collar is turned up it has that Pea Coat feel.  Paired with a skully, you invoke the vibe…I like that…”INVOKE THE VIBE!” $40

Now you know I couldn’t pull this off without my MVP!  Oh YES.  My new Mossimo Blazer from Target.  This top Layer is the icing on the cake because of its solid tone & material which is more like a Pea Coat. $60

The cool thing about Layering is that you can remove Layers!  A necessary feature especially with the moody weather of Nashville.  Simply remove the Denim from the equation and you got yourself a nice, clean, office look!

WELP!  I guess that’ll do pup…that’ll do.  SEMPER FI gentleman!  #FIN.

JPSKILLZ Style Tip of the Day!

Happy rainy Monday to you all! Hopefully you had a restful weekend & hopefully you saw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!? If not, handle that! Now, let’s get started!

If you are still having trouble finding the starting line then you haven’t been listening and you are in danger of failing this class! Rockin my rain proof, brown, Lunargrand Boots today. Need I say more? $200

My Express, Rocco, Slim Fit, Skinny Jeans are the proper combination for the brown that’s happening today. Remember, skinny doesn’t mean skin tight. $80

The t-shirt is from Banana Republic and it’s a super comfortable cotto. Too long ago to remember the price.

And finally there’s my Merona rain jacket from Target! POP YA COLLAR! Because there’s a hoodie in it! Perhaps I’ll show you sometime? I’ve never been a fan of umbrellas so it’s perfect for me! $30

Alright, let’s go get wet…okay, that was bad. I admit it. LoL
