FRESH SWAGZ: Adidas Stan Smith X Stan Smith!
I may have to cop these! Hop on over to Feshness Magazine for more images & details!
Nashville’s Wizard World Comic Con 2014!
Last weekend I attended our second annual Comic Con. It was a lot of fun as usual. Sorta like a family reunion for Geeks! LoL Although I’m not a Geek, I’m a Nerd, but whatever. Anyway, it’s one of those things where you just had to be there, but I’m going to try and share a piece of it with you.
Getting my mind right before the storm.
This has become one of my favorite Welcome Mats.
Aaaah…home sweet home!
The Xbox One had a pretty Super set up, although I’m a Sony man myself.
I’ve been looking for this Storm, but I’m just going to wait until the price comes down. My mission is to collect the rest of the Uncanny X-Force for now.
Aaaaaand speak of the Devil! Found Deadpool! A great start to the day! The toy booths look a little thin this year, but my hopes are still high. One down, 2 to go (Psylocke & Archangel).
TRINI! If you were between 5th to 8th grade in the 90s then the Power Rangers played a major role in your afternoons. I didn’t appreciate this beautiful Asian then, but hey, different times right? I’m older & wiser now and for 99 cents it just makes…cents.
A very sad story is behind this image. I bought this figure, from DIMENSION DECALS, thinking that it was the 6 inch figure that I’d been looking for, but when I opened the box, it was the 3 quarter inch figure. I tried to get my money back, but they weren’t budging. Now, in their defense, the figure type was written on the package, but it was an honest mistake. Sometimes you have to use wisdom and just value the customer over the all mighty dollar. SMH * Sigh * I’m trying to sale if you’re interested. Just email me (Joe@jpskillz.com) or leave me a message here.
This live Radio Broadcast by Con Radio called “Con SMASH!” Hosted by Month Lightning (Voice of Wizard World, WrestlingAudio.com) and Aaron Sagers (Editor At Large for Blastr). As you can tell by the picture, it was standing room only!
Next I hopped across the hall to catch the very insightful Michael Golden (Dr. Strange, The Nam, G.I. Joe, & Batman)! He broke down the art of Storytelling. He was late, but only because he didn’t know he was a panelist until minutes before. LoL My #1 take away, “People are STUPID.”
Huge shout out to my man JOSH BURCH of Toy Dump! I told him what happened to me and he gave me a free pass to day 3 so that I could have a chance for make a trade. The balance is restored.
The night cap featured the Cosplay contest. This is the first time I’ve attended one of these. Way more fun than I was expecting! So glad I stayed.
The Avengers shut it down! The best part was that they were all friends.
I AM GROOT! I AM GROOT! I…AM…GROOT!
Jason David Frank was visited by the ghosts of Power Rangers past.
Wonder Woman was WONDERFUL!
This Electro was ridiculous!
The Halo crew was amazing!
This guy created a phone booth and went from Clark Kent to Superman!
He went on to win the Judges Choice Award!
CHEEEEESE!
A great end to a great day!
Strong message for a convention such as this.
Day 3 was a lot less packed, but the highlight was definitely this Inking presentation by Drew Geraci.
Welp! That’s all folks! The team is growing! And all is right with the Geek/Nerd world!
