HAPPY HALLOWEEN…
Looks like a gloomy Tuesday, and that’s okay! Decided to go Camo today and the beauty of Camo done right…is just wonderful.
You know the drill, “Hand down, MAN down!” LOL Been awhile since I last rocked my blue, Nike Lunar Flyknit Chukkas, but they’re ready when duty calls. The cool thing about the quite tone of my Fatigues is that they can blend with just about any color. $125
These Banana Republic, Fatigues are as the youngsters say, “EVERYTHING!” LoL They really do BLEND IN to whichever color you choose. Today’s color happens to be my favorite, Blue! Generally people don’t think of this combo, but it works. $10
The V-Neck is a simple Medium. I had a choice between a darker blue and this one and this one just fit. Not that the other one wouldn’t have worked, but that’s what makes Style Subjective. This a Mossimo. $12
I wasn’t even thinking of rockin my Green, Heritage 1981 jacket, but when I tried it, it was a match made in Heaven! It just, WORKS! ATTENTION! $30
Alright soldiers…Stealth Mode. #Fin.
Happy Monday people! If you can’t get excited about this weather then you’re just not alive! LoL Breaking back out the shorts today. Don’t dress for the Season…dress for the Weather.
Keeping it simple! My Zerogrands $278, Mossimo shorts, which I got on sale for $7! FYI NOW is the time to shop for Spring/Summer π And my black Mossimo, V-Neck T’ $10.
Throw on a light hoodie for the morning chill (Merona) and you’re good to go! $25
Well, why are you following me like a shadow!? Go get em’! #Fin.
I’m a boss I said, tip my hat and I cross my legs. LoL I don’t wear ties often, but when I do…
You know the drill. Fresh pair of Zerogrands. I use to rock certain fits with a tennis shoe that had a thick white sole, but that has been replaced with these! Same effect, more refined. Every man needs a black shoe with a white sole. $278
For the pants, one can’t go wrong with the Express Photographer pants. Never know when you may have a shoot fellas…if you know what I mean? $50
Then of course there is the shirt, tie, and vintage, leather, bomber jacket! The tie is M151, Macy’s, the shirt is an Oxford from Banana Republic, and the bomber is courtesy of my grandfather, Lord rest his soul. Thanks pops! He had plenty of Style just like me. As if you can’t tell. LoL Every man also needs a decent bomber. You can substitute your suit coat with it. Free-your-mind Neo. LoL I prefer to let the Tie hang loose and I never button my top button, Personal Style…remember? Tie $10 Oxford $30 Bomber $Priceless (Remember, Men’s fashion is about Character. The older the better.)
And finally don’t forget the EXCESSORIES! A nice clean belt and watch really complete the look. Now you’re ready for the office or to fight aliens, which ever comes first. Belt (Ross) $12 Watch (Kenneth Cole) $150
I’ll holla. #Fin.
Freakin’ Bad….Ass! WoW
If you can’t be COOL today, then I just don’t know what else to tell ya’. LoL Just a little humor good sirs. Now, down to business. It’s going to be cool out there today, but there will be a few hours of warmth so today makes a good day for a nice Top Coat, but the key is to let the coat do all of the work.
My new Zerogrand collection is getting a lot of play right now and with good reason. The Chukkas are just so versatile that it’s hard not to pick them every morning. But obviously they’re great for chill. $278
Joggers are heaven sent! I’m so glad they’re in style, because they’re so warm and so comfortable! I mean it really feels like you’re cheating fellas, because while everyone else can’t wait to get home to put on their sweats…you’re already there! minus the couch and big screen π These are my gray, American Stitch Joggers from Saks 5th Ave, which I also got during the Labor Day sale! Love the fit and the rose gold zippers on the pockets. Treat your joggers like slacks and jeans, be bold! You want regret it. $40
Throw on a Button Up! Add a Top Coat and you’re set. Remember I said the key is to “let the Top Coat do the work.” Since I’m only wearing a Button Up, the Top Coat becomes responsible for keeping me warm. Top Coats are the warmest coats by themselves so you won’t be too hot if you rock em’ this way. Got this one from Express last year and it replaced my pea coat. It’s definitely my favorite coat! Remember, the modern Top Coat Stops above the knees. Although the grandaddy long legs style is back this year. BU $30 TC $300
Stay cool my brothers. #Fin.
“The Art of Dressing Normal.” It is indeed an Art Form. Many don’t understand the impact nor the importance of this philosophy, but if you can master it you can do some damage.
We have a tendency to complicate things in every area of our life, but simplicity is key. Take today’s fit for example. There’s not a lot to it. Many would say it’s quite normal, but there is nothing normal about good taste ie Style.
A solid pair of Zerogrands. They look normal enough, but upon closer inspection you find a TON of detail and technology. $278
A normal pair of slacks. But take a closer look and you run into the herringbone pattern as well as the nice tailored fit. GAP $40
The normal, albeit red, t-shirt. But see you missed the V-Neck collar along with the tailored fit of a quality brand or how the red is the only necessary splash of color present. GAP $12
Or the normal black vest, which you mistakenly thought to be a new one when it merely the gray one I showed you last week, reversed! Strategically chosen for the sneaky cool Fall breeze. Banana Republic $40
You see my friends…there’s nothing more different…than normal. #Fin.
Happy Monday gentleman. It’s a little nippy out there, but it’s not time to start bundeling up just yet. No, just throw on a nice cardigan and some joggers and you’re good to go!
The thing about these Zerogrand Chukkas is that they are not only super comfortable, but they are warm. They give a bit more protection from the elements than my Zerogrand Brogues. They’re the perfect Fall shoe and the color matches everything! I highly suggest purchasing a chukka or boot of any type in this color (Sierra)! And once again, they’re a perfect match for joggers! $278
Like I said, “A perfect match for joggers!” they stop at the ankle so that there is no breakage. These joggers are from Saks 5th Ave and I got them during the Labor Day sale. They are by American Stitch. They are super comfortable and the 2 zipped pockets give them a nice edge. Let a pair of black joggers replace your black slacks and jeans this year! $40
Then you finish it off with my favorite T-shirt (Converse $12) and a SUPER fresh, zip up, Merona cardigan from Target! This is a small so that it fits nice and tailored like I like it! Plus it has that “Heroic Collar ” that yall know I LOVE! Nice & warm, just unzip to turn on the AC…and the ladies π
Stay sexy my friends. #Fin.
